Are there longer term history satellite weather images available on the web?

Question by Now and Then Comes a Thought: Are there longer term history satellite weather images available on the web?
What I am looking for is something preferably in .mpg or .wmv format or similar, showing weather patterns over time periods of weeks or months. Similar to the National Weather Service’s satellite images of the past few hours, only covering a much longer time period.
